Delivery and Returns

We work really hard behind the scenes at Pretty Witty Cakes to ensure rapid service. We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. For further information on delivery times, shipping and returns please click on the links below.

Delivery - Mainland England, Wales and Scotland

You can select the following shipping options:

Royal Mail

Price (excluding VAT) are:

  • Up to 1kg: £2.49 (second class delivery, not tracked)
  • Up to 1kg: £3.33 (first class delivery, not tracked)

Please note that royal mail is not tracked and can take anything from 2 to 5 days first class and 3 to 7 days second class depending on your local post office. 

Interlink Courier

All parcels over 1kg in mainland England, Wales and Scotland are sent using a fully trackable courier.

Orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday should be dispatched the same day for delivery next day. Orders placed after 2pm will be dispatched the following day. We do not open Saturday and Sunday so no weekend pick up or delivery services take place. 

The courier prices (excluding VAT) are:

  • Up to 1kg - £4.16 
  • Over 1kg up to 5kg: £4.99
  • ​Over 5kg: - £5.83 

Delivery Notes: We dispatch goods between Monday - Friday. If we receive your next day order before 2pm on Friday, the expected delivery day would be Monday. If we receive a next day order after 2pm on Friday the expected delivery day would be Tuesday. You should be aware that Interlink does not guarantee next day delivery.  It is almost always next day (working day) but occasionally due to unforeseen events such as bad weather or road closures, parcels can be delayed so ensure you order in good time. 

Northern Ireland, Offshore Islands, Scottish Highlands and Scottish Islands

You can select the following options

  • Over 1kg, you can send by royal mail if you prefer.  In this case, select "Collect in person" and we will email you a precise royal mail shipping amount based on the weight of your order.

Interlink Courier

We provide a two day courier delivery service to these destinations using a fully trackable courier service. The prices (excluding VAT) are:

Northern Ireland: £16.99
Channel Islands: £12.99

Scilly Isles: £16.99
Isle of Wight: £11.99

The following post codes in the Scottish Highlands are £13.99: AB30-38, AB44-56, FK17-99, G83, IV1-28, IV30-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-33, PA34-40, PH18-26, PH30, PH31-41, PH49-50, PH15-18

​The following post codes in the Scottish Islands are £17: HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3.

The above rates are for parcels up to 10kg. Over 10kg, the charge is 95p per additional kg. 

We can also send parcels to these locations via royal mail for a flat fee of £7.99. Please allow up to 10 days if selecting royal mail as an option. 

International Parcels

We send all international parcels eithe via royal mail air mail (untracked) or, if you prefer by FeDex international courier (which is fully tracked and very fast). Shipping varies according to each country and weight of your parcel. When you checkout, select your country from the drop down menu and the shipping will be calculated for your country based on the weight of your parcel. This is an estimated shipipng and if your parcel shipping costs are higher we will contact you before we despatch your parcel. We cannot send flammable items (e.g. lustre spray cans, dipping solution or canned air) overseas. Please note once we have dispatched your order we cannot change the delivery address.

What if I want to collect and avoid postage?

Our parcels are normally sent via courier or 1st class post.  However, if you want to avoid paying shipping you can select "Collect in person" at the checkout and you will not be charged shipping. You will need to collect from our Forest Row address in East Sussex

How do I know when my parcel is on its way?

We send out all parcels the same day if you order before 2pm (week days). Orders placed after 2pm will be sent the following day. If you order after 2pm on Friday our parcel will be sent Monday.

Orders placed on Bank Holidays or national holidays will be sent the next working day.  

Parcels sent via Interlink or Fedex are fully tracked and very fast. When your parcel leaves Pretty Witty Cakes, it is scanned and you will receive an email letting you know your parcel is on its way. The email will contain the courier details so you can track the parcel online.

On the day your parcel is due to be delivered, you should receive an email giving you a one hour time slot for your delivery. Please check your junk mail folder if you don't receive this email. Alternatively you can call us after 9am on the morning that your delivery is due and we will be able to track your parcel and give you a one hour time slot for your delivery. Please note that the delivery slots are set by the courier first thing in the morning according to their routes so we cannot request specific times for delivery.  

What if I need my parcel by 9am the next day?

If you need your parcel urgently and you are based in mainland England, Wales or Scotland, please call us and we can send on a before 9am delivery. Please note that this service is more expensive. 

What happens if I’m out when the courier attempts delivery?

As all orders are sent by tracked courier, you can track your goods on-line. If you happen to be out a calling card should be left through your door for you to arrange re-delivery free of charge. Sometimes a courier will also attempt to deliver a parcel to a next door property and should leave a card to inform you. If you need help at any time you can call us or you can call the courier direct on the numbers provided to you when your parcel is dispatched. Please note that if your goods are not called for within 5 days they may send them back to us and we would have to re-charge to send them again. 

Damaged Goods

If your goods are damaged in transit Pretty Witty Cakes will replace the item free of charge. We may ask for proof of the damage and a written statement so that we can proceed with a compensation claim against the courier. Please email shop@prettywittycakes.co.uk with your order number and a photo of the goods if they are damaged within 24 hours of receipt of the parcel. 

Delayed or Missing Parcels

It is very rare for a parcel to go missing or be delayed because we can track them via the live tracking service that the courier has. In the UK, the couriers all have trackers on their vans so it is possible to tell if a parcel has been to the street address and to even see such details as the colour of the front door where the parcel was delivered! If for any reason your parcel is delayed or goes missing, please carry out the following checks:

  • That you have not been carded with a note saying the courier attempted delivery and you were not in and has asked you to call to rearrange delivery
  • That it has not been left in or outside your home i.e.. a meter cupboard, porch or left with a neighbour. 

Having carried out the above checks please contact us by telephone +44 (0) 7976 327278 or +44 (0) 1892 611710 or by email to: cupcakes@prettywittycakes.co.uk stating your order reference, delivery address and contact details. We shall investigate lost packages with our courier partners and will arrange a replacement or full refund in the event the goods cannot be found. Please note we require a minimum of two working days to investigate lost packages with our couriers.

Returns Policy

If you change your mind about a product you have purchased from the online equipment shop, you have the right to return it for a refund or exchange if you do so within 14 days (counted from the day you place your order). We do not offer refunds if you change your mind after that 14 days has expired. This right to a return within 14 days does not apply to edible items.  For health and safety reasons we cannot accept any returns of edible items if you change your mind.  If you return because you change your mind, we cannot refund your postage costs and you have to pay the costs of returning the item to us.

Should a product arrive damaged or incomplete, we would offer a full refund provided you return the unused goods to us in their original packaging.  If you have used a product, and it is faulty we will offer a replacement not a refund.

Please note that for health and safety reasons, we cannot exchange or refund any edible products.

If a product is faulty and you return it to us, we will cover the cost of postage for the return up to the cost of ordinary first class mail.  We will not cover private courier, next day delivery or any other costs.

Our liability in respect of a faulty product is limited to replacing or refunding that product in accordance with the above.  In no circumstances will we accept liability for any direct or consequential loss caused directly or indirectly through use of a product purchased in the Pretty Witty Cakes Ltd online shop.
