Wedding and Events FAQ’s
Q. What sort of events do you cater for?
A. We can make cupcakes for almost any event including weddings, civil partnerships, anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, hen and stag parties, corporate entertainment, baby showers, new baby etc. If you have an event in mind, please feel free to contact us to discuss it further.
Q. How do I place an order?

Q. How much are your cupcakes and cupcake towers?
All wedding and event orders are tailored according to your specific requirements so individual prices will be agreed with you. For very large orders, discounts are available. Our broad guidelines are as follows:
- Cupcake with buttercream swirl and flower paste decoration £2.50 (very detailed toppers for cakes will be more)
- Miniature roses £0.50 each (discounts for large numbers)
- Very large roses or Calla Lilles £10.00 each.
- Animal toppers £1.25 each
- Other novelty decoration – priced according to complexity of decoration.
Q. Do you provide a free consultation service
A. Yes. All wedding and event cupcakes are designed based on consultation with you. Pretty Witty Cakes will first have a chat by phone about the kinds of cakes you would like along with the designs and colours so it is all based on exactly what you want for your wedding. We then make between 9 and 12 for you to see and you can come to our kitchen to try them, discuss further colours or design ideas etc, decoration (such as flowers or extra bits and pieces). Our kitchen is in Crowborough, East Sussex although Suzi may be able to meet you at your home by arrangement. After that meeting, the final design is agreed and the made ready for collection or delivery on the date agreed.
Q. Do you have a minimum order?
A. Yes. For weddings and events, our minimum order is 50 cupcakes. If you need a specific order that is less than this, please feel free to enquire by calling Suzi on 07976 32 72 78 or email email@example.com. If we have availability we will try and fit you in.
Q. Do you hire cupcake tower stands
A. Yes. We can provide cupcake stands for hire. We charge this at £25. We require a £50 refundable deposit which will be returned in full if the stand is returned in the same condition it was supplied within 7 days (i.e. if the stand is sent to you on Saturday, it must be returned by the following Saturday or the deposit will be forfeited).
Q. Do you deliver and if yes, where to?
A. Yes. For local delivery we can come and set up for you. Our charge would depend on your location. We also offer this service for national delivery but as Suzi’s time and travel would be charged to you, we would recommend that you collect or use a courier instead. We can instruct you how to set up the cupcake tower and you arrange this yourself (for example, a wedding bridesmaid or caterer can assist). Most wedding venues or event caterers provide this service for free.
Q. Do you require a desposit?
A. Yes. For all wedding and event orders, a deposit of 30 per cent is required at the time of booking. This is because we need to allocate time for making the sugar or florist paste decorations for your cakes. The remaining 75% must be paid 2 weeks before the event. If you wish to pay by cheque, this must be sent to us 3 weeks before the event.
