Our Christmas Cupcake Class has a twist this year! It is all about celebrating the fun and humour of Christmas Pretty Witty style!  The class is designed for complete beginners and for those with some experience who are looking to make cupcakes for that special time of the year whether for friends and family, events, to sell or just to eat!

Class Times and Equipment

This class starts promptly at 10.15am and runs to 5pm.  We supply everything you need to make perfect Christmas cupcakes so you do not need to bring anything with you.

What you will learn

For this class we have designed some new and unique cupcakes which play upon the Christmas novelty theme.  We have added a bit of Pretty Witty fun and magical sparkle to the cupcakes.  The cupcakes include:

• Rudolph, the Red Nose Reindeer
• Santa in a bubble bath reading a book or a present list.
• A “baddie” snowman melting another snowman  with a hairdryer
• A penguin throwing a snowball on an edible ice pond
• A little elf popping out of a mountain of snowballs

You will learn modelling of figures and animals as part of the class, the use of pastes, tints and lustres and many other things as shown in the pictures.  We will discuss and demonstrate how to use colour and the best colours to use for Christmas cupcakes.  We will show you how to retain a Christmassy feel without just using green and red!

Although you will make up to 6 cupcakes during the class, we have designed the cakes as “stand alone” so you could opt to give each cake individually as a Christmas present rather than as a set if you so choose.  You could of course, also make a complimentary set.

We will work though the cake designs with you as you go along and encourage you to explore your inner Christmas child!  As with all our classes, our emphasis is on clean, professional finishes -  quality rather than quantity.  As a result, we focus on decoration in this class  (see our Cupcake Basics class if you want to cover baking as well).

As with our other classes, the cupcakes may look difficult but you will be able to make them.  You can also transfer the techniques you learn to full sized cakes thus opening up a set of skills which you can grow and expand upon.

All the decorations will be made from sugar paste, flower paste or fondant so will all be edible and totally delicious. All of our ingredients are vegetarian.

Once you have finished decorating all your cakes, you will be provided with a presentation box to transport your perfect and fresh cupcakes home with you.

We supply lots of tea and coffee and soft drinks throughout the day and you can take breaks whenever you wish.  In this class, we of course also have mince pies for snacks!

You can ask as many questions as you want throughout the day, ask about tips, secrets and short cuts whilst having a thoroughly fun time.   This class is such good fun and you cannot fail to become all festive whilst working on your cupcakes (the odd “Jingle Bells” here there is all part of the fun)

Location: Our Christmas Cupcakes decorating class is based at Pretty Witty HQ in Crowborough (TN6) on the Kent, East Sussex border.

Price: £165 (includes VAT where applicable).

Time: 10:15am – 5pm

Travel: We can assist with all travel arrangements including advising on trains and flights, pick up from the airport or train station.  For those coming by car, we have ample private and enclosed parking at the house.
